ARKRS Housing

Housing support for ex-offenders.

A stable place to live is a foundation for a different future. We provide accommodation and tailored resettlement support to help men leaving prison rebuild their lives in London.

Our universal service

Accommodation with a purpose.

ARKRS Housing supports all our male service users aged 18 to 65 with accommodation on release from prison for up to 2 years. Housing is part of a wider approach to preparing for independent living.

A stable starting point

Accommodation on release creates space to focus on everyday life, personal goals and the next steps towards independence.

Up to 2 years

Our accommodation support gives service users time to work towards a more settled future after leaving prison.

Individual support

We work with each person to identify an appropriate placement and develop a support plan that reflects their needs.

More than accommodation

Building the foundations for independence.

A home provides stability, but resettlement also means rebuilding confidence, relationships and wellbeing. Our housing support brings these priorities together.

  • Preparing for everyday independence

We help service users work towards managing their lives beyond supported accommodation.

  • Building strong relationships

Positive connections are an important part of settling back into the community.

  • Supporting health and wellbeing

We help service users improve their physical and mental health as they rebuild their lives.

A considered approach

From release to a support plan.

Understanding the individual comes first. Our assessment helps us consider accommodation and support together, rather than treating them as separate needs.

  1. 01

    Understand the needs

Upon release from prison, we carry out a comprehensive risk assessment of the individual. This informs the accommodation and support we consider with them.

  2. 02

    Plan the right support

We look at an appropriate placement and discuss support with the individual. Together, these considerations help determine their personal support plan.

  3. 03

    Put essentials in place

We help service users get set up with crucial documents and access to services, including ID, a passport and benefit entitlements.

Connection and community

A place to live. People to turn to.

Alongside accommodation, ARK Resettlement Services offers mentoring and community support to people at risk of reoffending. Our aim is to help service users reconnect with society and move towards lasting independence.
